The Gap Year is a blog written by myself (Max) and Laura. We are young professionals from Christchurch, New Zealand with a keen enthusiasm for adventure and the outdoors. We have recently left New Zealand with 12-months of adventuring planned ahead.

The intention of this blog is to document our travels from New Zealand across the world as we hike, bike, ski and adventure through South America and Europe over the next year.

This blogging platform provides an opportunity to express ourselves, our learnings and our experiences as we document our journey. There is no set formula for how this blog will play out, but we hope that you will enjoy following along with us.
